Instagram currently allows you to have one Instagram profile link and it’s most likely going to stay that way. That means if you want to add multiple links in Instagram, you’ll have to resort to third-party tools.
Thanks to our friend over at Girl Knows Tech, we’ve discovered Linktree, a tool that allows you to add multiple links in instagram. We’re using it right now and it works beautifully! You’ll see what I mean when you visit our Linktree at http://linktr.ee/steebostech. Pretty neat, right?
Not only did it allow us to add multiple links in Instagram, it also increased our number of engagements significantly! Continuing reading to find out how.
How to Add Linktree to Your Instagram Profile
Your first step is to hop onto Linktr.ee and sign up for a free account. You’ll have to connect your to your Instagram account at this stage. Don’t worry, it’s completely safe!
After logging into Linktr.ee, you’ll get your own special URL that you can paste into your Instagram Profile. That URL will link to a page that displays multiple links that you’ve added onto your Linktree. You’ll find that you can also change the colors of your Linktree at this screen through the settings.
The editing page will look something like this:
You can toggle your links in Instagram on or off anytime you like by clicking on the toggle switch; just in case you feel like taking a link down for a bit. You can also re-arrange your links by clicking and dragging the dark-grey sections on the left.
Using Linktree means you can now include all these links in your Ig account:
- Website homepage
- Newsletter Subscription page
- Contact page
- Social media pages
- Latest blog post(s)
- + more
This is great news for any companies or even bloggers that are looking to share multiple links in Instagram! It’s especially useful for optimizing your Instagram page for directing traffic to all your important website pages and social media accounts.
Integrated Analytics Tracker
Another amazing feature that I just have to mention is the tiny view counter next to all of your posts. If you look back at the image above, you’ll notice a number next to the trash can of each post. This is the number of clicks your link has generated. Now you can track how effective your links really are.
Honestly, God bless the Linktree developers for helping us solve our “one Instagram link” problem.
Let’s go over the benefits of Linktree one more time:
- Add multiple links to your Instagram page
- Customize the theme of your Linktree
- Analytics tracker
- Save time from not having to manually enter links through the app every time you create a new post/page
- Increased potential to increase # of insta followers by providing more high-quality links
Now that we’ve gotten you excited, go add a Linktree to your Instagram page and start bringing more traffic to places that matter!
