How to Get Cheaper and Possibly Free McDonalds

A couple weeks ago, I enjoyed a free Big Mac burger and half-off a poutine from McDonald’s. Unfortunately, I don’t have a close up of the receipt to show as proof but I was able to dig up a blurry Snapchat screenshot of the moment I got my free Big Mac:

Trust me or not, I didn’t redeem a McDonald’s gift card for that price, and no I didn’t steal it either. I simply installed the official My McD’s app from the Google Play Store, created an account and used one of the coupons that was provided to me. You can download it here:

It’s an extremely handy app to have. My McD’s offers you weekly coupons with which you can save on many of their menu items, including value combos, breakfasts, and poutines. I also noticed that the coupons will vary depending on the McDonald’s location you selected. It’s up to you to try your luck on different locations. Here’s a screenshot of the app:

Most of the time, there’re coupons for “$2.50 off an Extra Value Meal” or “$1.50 off a Breakfast Combo,” but as mentioned, it will vary by the week. The McD’s app eventually offered me the free Big Mac coupon, probably because they valued my participation in using the app. Not many people are using the app, let alone know it even exists, and that’s why I’m here to spread the word!

Now, I’m not promising you any free food but based on my experience with the My McD’s app, you will occasionally get better deals. Besides, any discount is better than no discount considering their prices hiked up over the years.

  1. When I initially commented I clicked the -Notify me when new feedback are added- checkbox and now every time a remark is added I get four emails with the identical comment. Is there any manner you can take away me from that service? Thanks!
